Energy Plug-ins

Kingdom

  • Ability to read well data such as digital logs and curves, as well as deviation survey points from EDM to Kingdom via the Data Porter.
  • Ability to write well data such as deviation survey points, formation tops, digital logs, zone attributes, as well as monthly and cumulative production data from EDM to Kingdom via the Data Porter.

Petra

  • Ability to write well data from EDM to Petra via the Data Porter, such as well location, formation tops, zone attributes, digital logs, monthly production data and directional survey data.

Blue Marble

  • Ability to pass XY or longitude/latitude coordinates from a Data Flow Sequence to Blue Marble and retrieve the appropriate convergence factor to correctly position data.

Map UI Element

  • Zoom functionality within the Map UI element has been improved to allow users to zoom in/out of the map center point immediately once they click the zoom icon.

(lightbulb) For more details, refer to the Map UI Element guide.

Multilingual Support

  • EDM users with multilingual content enabled are able to define a language key in a Data Generator Function in order to support data sets where a record exists per language.
(lightbulb) For more details, refer to the Data Generator guide.

Web UI Administration

User Group Management

  • Child groups of Active Directory groups will be automatically added to an EDM group when a parent Active Directory group is added. The number of levels of the child Active Directory groups can be set via a new database parameter: MaxADGroupTreeLevel, the default is 5 levels.
  • For Active Directory groups in the web UI, a new column will display either the User or Group type, with all columns in the grid now sortable.

Application Analytics

  • New area in the web UI administration area allows users to review the results of all metrics and best practice monitoring test results gathered by the system so they can optimize their EDM configuration as required.
  • Statistics display controlled by new Schedule Daily Application Statistics SQL Job checkbox in Database Upgrade Wizard and new /scheduleapplicationstats command line parameter for silent installation.
(lightbulb) For more details, refer to the Web UI Administration guide.

Data Generator & Manager

  • If populated in a linked Data Illustration Template, a field description will display as a tooltip when hovering over the field name in the Generator and Manager Form View elements. The tooltip will also display when hovering over a column caption in the Data Manager and Generator Inbox grids.
  • Data Generator Value Distribution in the web UI now displays the decoded values from the Data Generator Function, instead of the values stored in the database.
  • The Auto Resize Columns option in the Generator Inbox UI element is now enabled by default.

Other Changes

  • Ability to search in drop-down box UI elements.
  • When importing configuration, the process will automatically remove database connection strings which no longer exist in the incoming configuration, apart from those used by the database version control system.
  • For charts with multiple series, series without data will not be shown in the chart legend in the web UI. This applies to the Line, Bar/Column, Area and Combo chart types.
  • NavigationConfiguration.xml timestamp of the export datetime has been removed so the file structure remains consistent with each export.
  • Original Id is no longer recreated when importing configurations. EDM now checks all the entries marked as deleted and whether the Original Id already exists.
