The Markit EDM Wiki is now available
We are pleased to advise that access to the Markit EDM Wiki has been restored and the service is now available for use. Markit EDM introduced support for SFTP in v9.5
Bloomberg have announced that they will be migrating to SFTP. All new Bloomberg Per Security / Back Office accounts are SFTP and they will be working to migrate remaining FTP accounts to SFTP.
Markit EDM introduced support for SFTP in v9.5 therefore, clients using Bloomberg Per Security / Back Office with FTP should not upgrade if they are on an EDM versions below 9.5. Alternatively, clients can utilise an external SFTP application if available.

Markit EDM Support - Database Backup
Markit EDM continually strive to improve the support service we provide to all of our clients and to further achieve this we would like to have a 'support ready' copy of your database. Markit EDM can comply with whatever security restrictions clients wish to put in place, we do not need data so clients can safely truncate all "T_"tables.
Best Practice is to provide an updated backup on quarterly basis as this will allow the support team to quickly and efficiently replicate issues encountered and provide timely resolution. We can also carry out value added services such as periodic Health Checks of the database and Pre-upgrade Analysis.
