New Thomson Reuters Dataworks web service plugin

We are pleased to advise that Markit EDM have built a new Data Porter plugin to connect to the Thomson Reuters Dataworks web service.  Full details can be found on the wiki here.

Markit Wins Best Sell-Side Data Management Product

Markit, a leading, global financial information services company, is pleased to announce that its Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platform has been awarded “Best Sell-Side Data Management Product” at the first annual Sell-Side Technology Awards.  The judges, who included representatives from leading sell-side institutions, highlighted Markit EDM’s sell-side credentials and its ability to service institutions of all types and sizes.

The Sell-Side Technology Awards recognise the leading technologies and third-party vendors in their area of expertise, using an auditable and transparent methodology underpinned by the input of eight judges — four sell-side CIOs/consultants and four of Waters Technology’s senior staff members.

MacKay Shields Rolls out Markit EDM

Markit, a leading, global financial information services company, has rolled out Markit Enterprise Data Management (EDM) to MacKay Shields, a US-based investment firm with approximately $78 billion in assets under management.  As part of the implementation, Citisoft, a global investment management consultancy, worked closely with MacKay Shields and Markit, playing an integral role in the management and deployment of the Markit EDM solution.

Markit EDM enables a streamlined, automated workflow, supporting operations across the front and back office.  It has allowed MacKay Shields to manage the way data is collected and distributed throughout its investment management systems.

EDM 9.0 Data Flow user guide now available
