EDM v20.1.16.4 GA is now available

  Release Date: 5th June 2026

This release brings the following improvements:

1.Attribute-Level Approvals enhance the Approval Workflows module by enabling approval control over specific data attribute changes directly from the Data Manager (DM) screen. When users submit attribute overrides, these changes are automatically routed through configured approval workflows before being applied.

The feature supports flexible approval models, including Dual Control (multi-level) and 4-eyes (single-level), ensuring proper validation. Key benefits include stronger data governance, improved data integrity, increased accountability, and a balance between control and operational agility.

2. In‑App Notifications deliver real-time alerts within the Opus EDM Web UI for key workflow events such as submissions, approvals, rejections, and withdrawals. They provide a centralized notification system with direct links to related tasks, reducing the need for manual status checks.

Key benefits include faster response and approval cycles, improved visibility into workflows, and enhanced governance through a persistent notification history.

3. The Data Dictionary & Lineage Export via API feature provides standardized APIs to extract EDM metadata and lineage information, enabling seamless integration with third-party metadata management platforms. Built on the EDM API framework with OAuth support, it ensures secure and consistent access.

Key benefits include a unified view of enterprise data assets and reduced manual effort through automated, scheduled metadata synchronization.

4. Snowflake Web-Based Data Ingestion enables users to easily load data from Snowflake into Opus EDM through a self-service web interface, eliminating the need for engineering support or desktop tools. Users can configure secure connections, define SQL queries, and build ingestion pipelines with support for both full and delta data loads.

Key benefits include faster onboarding, greater flexibility to adapt to changing data needs, reduced costs through efficient delta processing, improved data reliability via built-in validation and monitoring, and scalable support for enterprise-level data ingestion.

5.SCIM Integration enables automated user provisioning and group synchronization between enterprise identity systems and Opus EDM using standard SCIM APIs. It allows organizations to manage users, roles, and permissions directly from their existing IAM systems, ensuring real-time alignment with the central identity source.

Key benefits include improved security and compliance, reduced manual effort through automation, faster user onboarding, scalable identity management, and minimized risk of access errors.

6.Okta OAuth Support enables secure, password less connectivity between Opus EDM and Snowflake using OAuth-based authentication. It allows EDM data processes to authenticate via access tokens issued by Okta, eliminating the need to store credentials like usernames or keys.

Designed for automated workflows, the system can manage and refresh tokens seamlessly, ensuring uninterrupted execution. Key benefits include enhanced security compliance, fully automated and secure job execution, and scalable support for multiple Snowflake environments.
