EDM v19.3.10.92 is now available

 Release Date: 10th October 2025

This release brings the following improvements: 

• Retry logic has been implemented to handle "File in use" errors more gracefully or to ensure file locks are reliably released before subsequent actions begin.  This is to help avoid intermittent failures caused by security software, virus checkers and slow networks where the OS releases locks slowly.
• Data Generator / Managers can now trigger change to edit mode via a new 'Is Editable' Input/Output parameter via workflow variables. Users of older config using the "Override Edit Permission" input parameter need to ensure "Default Editing" enabled.  Using the new option negates this.
• The legacy ExcelToFile plugin now additionally supports Office 365 and Excel 2019.  Customers are strongly encouraged to transition to the non-legacy XlsxToFile plugin, which should work with most Excel XLSX files without requiring Excel to be installed.
• Data Manager decode sorting is now aligned to that of the Data Generator, now supporting custom orders as defined in Data Generator, Illustrator or templates.
• A session warning pop-up ahead of the expiration is now shown to user.  This defaults to 2 minutes prior to timeout but can be modified in the Web.config using the 'SessionTimeoutRemaining' setting.
• Error handling in the Data Generator has been enhanced to optionally display more detailed and user-friendly SQL error messages, similar to those in the thick client version. A new Co DBPARM 'DisplayDetailedErrorMessage' has been added, enabled by default.
• Data Constructor / Data Inspector now shows a clearer message during V&C to avoid source monitor data loss.   The 'PreserveSourceMonitor' setting in CADIS_SYS.CO_DBPARM can define default behaviour.
